Flash is known for his playful and mischievous nature and is considered the class clown of the sanctuary. Before he came to the sanctuary in 2010, Flash lived in Lebanon, OR on a farm with pygmy goats and would toss them around for fun. He would also hide in the bushes along the pasture fence and jump out and bray to scare cyclists, which caused him no end of entertainment but also caused a few cyclists a tumble. This led to him being surrendered to the sanctuary. Happily, he has mellowed with age. In 2014, he underwent major abdominal surgery at OSU to remove an impaction in his colon. After six months, he was back to his old self and had learned to give kisses on command.
